THE CONVENT GALLERY – MONASTIRAKI HOUSE (ARTWORK ON PERMANENT DISPLAY)
The Convent owner Tina Banitska’s latest artwork is Monastiraki guesthouse. This beautiful 1920’s Federation-style country home makes a powerful design statement. Tina has added warmth and character with the use of terracotta pottery and decorative wrought iron furniture. Monastriraki has a lived-in look; showcasing the very individual and personal style of Tina Banitska. The property is a canvas for Tina’s collection of expressionist art, and incorporates a bold design treatment for each space, with each room reflecting special times and events.

“There’s a nude woman staring at me as I peek out from the continental quilt while tucked up in my bedroom at the new Monastiraki Guest House in Daylesford. The dark-haired beauty surrounded by an urn spilling red geraniums is young and lean, and I make a secret pact to return to the gym sooner rather than later. The more I look at the striking portrait by Melbourne-based artist Yolanda Pilepich, the more details I discover.”
